I use a lot of Twallan's mods including that one right now and they all work fine, but I turn Story Progression off when my sims goes to the university world just because Twallan said this on his page
'It is probably advisable to simply set 'Enable Progression' to off while playing university worlds, since EA Story Progression handles assigning academic careers to inactives, something this mod does not handle.'

It is recommended for you to not enable it when your sim gets to uni.

Twallan's 'State of the Mod' page advises disabling progression while at university.
I did that in one save file.
I had 3 sims living in a dorm and got a message like 'So and so's family can not afford to pay their bills. The community will take up a collection for them.'
Which sounded like something from the mod and all the money was taken out of their funds.
It wasn't much. Only like $400 simoleons and they didn't need it.
I'm not sure if I disabled progression correctly.
When I first got to university, and got the prompts about using the mod, I chose no/the x instead of the check.
It didn't seem like it worked for me so I just took the mod out of my game to be safe.
I really miss it though so I'd love it if anyone had anymore insight on using it with University Life.

Yeah I had to remove that mod from the game. Not only for the reasons above but for the simple fact that it would crash my game.

On the left hand side if you look under 'RECENT UPDATES' you will see 'STATE OF MOD' and that is where he posts about all current mod updates.

did you have the mod updated to the latest version? did you update ALL the modules that go with it? Did you still have the story progression expanded module installed? the expanded module is discontinued, so if you just downloaded all the new stuff and then counted on new files to replace old files, nothing would replace expanded, and this will cause your game to crash.

I chose to disable it in Uni, but when I went to map view there were a thousand tags showing every sim, so I ended up importing my settings to get rid of them, which ultimately enabled story progression. Long story short, it didn't seem to mess anything up. My sims were able to do everything except their class activity, and I had a crowding issue at graduation which led to one of my sims not getting their degree. There were a 4 sims that got married on the last day of the term, which I know wasn't supposed to be possible at Uni. Other than that I didn't have a problem with it.

Yeah I had to disable it at the University but not before a few sims adopted pets.LOL and some got married.luckily no one ended up pregnant.LMAO I always like to see what damage the mod does before disabling it for giggles.LOL
I always use a trial neighborhood to test out the expansion.
So I have been back to the University a few times and the puppies are now Adult dogs.LOL, so they are aging like the sims when you leave.LOL.
